The Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers project “Working Women's Struggle with Stress” (Project No. 2023-2-TR01-KA153-YOU-000167767) was implemented in Eskişehir, Türkiye, between 15–21 October 2024. The programme promoted physical and emotional well-being by combining yoga practice with mindfulness and self-reflection. Participants explored a variety of yoga postures that improved flexibility, balance, concentration, and body awareness while encouraging a positive mindset. Guided meditation sessions invited participants to reflect on feelings of loneliness that many working women experience, creating a safe environment for sharing personal experiences and recognising the importance of emotional support, empathy, and meaningful human connection. These activities highlighted how mindfulness can strengthen emotional regulation, creativity, and resilience in demanding working environments.
Creative learning methods helped participants develop stronger emotional intelligence and communication skills. Through an interactive activity using emotion-themed balloons, participants shared personal memories connected to different emotions, transforming emotional expression into an engaging group exercise that encouraged openness, trust, and mutual understanding. A symposium on the role of yoga in professional life further examined scientific evidence on stress reduction, emotional balance, and workplace well-being. Participants exchanged ideas, proposed practical solutions for healthier workplaces, and discovered how breathing techniques, meditation, and regular yoga practice can improve self-awareness, emotional control, and decision-making.
Leadership, conflict management, and environmental awareness formed another important dimension of the mobility. Guided anger management exercises enabled participants to recognise emotional triggers, practice calming techniques, and develop healthier responses to workplace conflicts through visualisation and metacognitive strategies. A leadership simulation demonstrated the importance of clear communication, active listening, teamwork, and effective management, while discussions on yoga philosophy introduced concepts such as Ahimsa and mindful consumption, encouraging participants to connect personal well-being with environmental sustainability and responsible living.
Intercultural learning completed the experience through a celebration of Czech culture featuring traditional presentations, cuisine, music, and dance, promoting mutual respect and appreciation of diversity. Participants strengthened their presentation, research, and intercultural communication skills while discovering shared European values. The mobility concluded with an interactive evaluation session using visual tools, emojis, peer discussions, and collaborative reflection to assess the learning outcomes. Through its participation, Riders of the Storm Association reinforced its commitment to supporting women's well-being, promoting mental health, and sharing innovative non-formal education practices that contribute to more inclusive, resilient, and supportive communities across Europe.
