The fifth day of the Erasmus+ Mobility of Youth Workers project "Don't Get Caught in The Cycle of Addiction!" (Project No. 2023-3-ES02-KA153-YOU-000179486) highlighted the importance of community involvement in tackling technology addiction. The day began with visits to local stakeholders and supporting institutions that had contributed to the successful implementation of the project. Participants introduced their organisations, exchanged experiences with local representatives, and explored opportunities for future international cooperation. These meetings demonstrated how collaboration between public institutions, NGOs, and youth organisations can strengthen initiatives promoting digital well-being.
Later, participants took part in an engaging body language activity designed to improve non-verbal communication skills while reflecting on the relationships they had built throughout the mobility. The exercise highlighted the value of communication beyond digital platforms and encouraged participants to appreciate the importance of face-to-face interaction in both personal and professional environments.
One of the day's main highlights was the "Unknown Addiction" public session, where participants presented the knowledge they had gained during the project to members of the local community. Together with experts, including a psychologist, they discussed the psychological effects of technology addiction, its influence on social life and family relationships, and practical strategies for prevention. Local residents actively participated in the discussion by asking questions and sharing their own perspectives, transforming the event into a valuable exchange of experiences.
The day concluded with another Cultural Night, where participants introduced traditional wedding customs from their countries through presentations, storytelling, and role-playing activities. The evening celebrated Europe's cultural diversity while reinforcing mutual understanding, respect, and intercultural dialogue—core values of the Erasmus+ Programme.
